'Saved By The Bell' Pop-Up Diner In Chicago Expands Dates After Tickets Sell Out

Mason Johnson

The Saved by the Bell-themed diner opening in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood has exceeded expectations. Intended to be a pop-up diner only open a month, they've since expanded to three months.

Dubbed Saved by the Max -- after the name of the Saved by the Bell diner the Max -- the restaurant opens on June 1st at 1941 W. North Avenue. Patrons can expect pun-filled dishes and costume contests. You can read more about the diner here.

Tickets for the temporary diner went on sale the morning of April 22 at www.savedbythemax.com, essentially promising purchasers a dinner reservation. Tickets for June are sold out.

At 12 pm April 22, tickets for July and August go on sale.

For those who can't nab tickets, you can still experience the spectacle. Walk-ins will be accepted for brunch and late-night service on a first-come-first-serve basis.
