Google 'Chicago Flag' And Prepare To Be Insulted

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Chicago Blackhawks' loss to the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday night was plenty devastating.

A Google search on Tuesday morning just makes it worse.

Type in the words "Chicago Flag" and an image of the St. Louis flag appears instead.

Ironically, the St. Louis flag image is connected to a Chicago Magazine story about the Windy City's almost obsessive civic pride with Chicago's red-starred and blue- and white-striped beauty.

The St. Louis flag is mentioned in the story because experts in vexillology -- the study of flags -- consider it to be among the nation's best.

Is Google playing a cruel joke? Or is it simply a glitch?

CBS 2 is putting all available resources at its disposal to get an answer from the company.

One thing is clear, when you Google St. Louis flag, you get the St. Louis flag.
