(CBS) — The Chicago Cubs have postponed Saturday’s scheduled home game against the Atlanta Braves. A make-up date had yet to be determined.

The team made the announcement Saturday morning, hours before the start of the 1:20 p.m. game at Wrigley Field. The weather was expected to be cold and  rainy.

Fans are encouraged to retain their tickets from today’s postponed game to use for the rescheduled contest, the Cubs said.

The Cubs are 17-5, with the best record in Major League Baseball.
