(CBS) – Cook County police are on the hunt for a suspect who reportedly tried to abduct a boy in unincorporated Des Plaines Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. near the 10000 block of Holly Lane when a man who appeared to be holding a knife told a 10-year-old boy to “come here.” The boy, who had missed the school bus and was returning home, fled to safety, Sheriff Tom Dart said in a news release.

The suspect wore a “plaid Kangol type hat” and a tan trench coat, said authorities, who released a composite sketch.
