CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was charged with murder Wednesday night in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the Hermosa neighborhood a day before.

Roseneau was standing in front of a residence in the 2000 block of North Pulaski about 10:30 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him several times, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.READ MORE: Lollapalooza Enters Day 2; Organizers Say 90% Of Fans Showed Proof Of Vaccination Thursday
Nearby officers on patrol saw Martinez running from the scene of the shooting and drop a handgun, police said. He was apprehended in the 4000 block of West Armitage after a short foot chase.
