(CBS) — Neiman-Marcus on Michigan Avenue was the scene of a grab-and-run late Thursday morning, with thieves taking hundreds of dollars in high-end bags.
Neiman-Marcus Spokeswoman Ginger Reeder says four men went into the Michigan Avenue store and grabbed several bags — most, if not all, were high-end Chanel bags. Within seconds, they hopped into a waiting car outside and fled.
Chicago Police say getaway car went north on the Magnificent Mile.
Neiman’s spokeswoman says all high-end bags are tethered with a cable. But she says in the past, thieves have either been strong enough to break the cables by pulling or cutting them.
Police say no one in the store was hurt.
