CHICAGO (STMW) — A car and a pickup truck crashed into neighboring storefronts in the Hermosa neighborhood late Sunday night.

Police said a pickup truck headed west on Fullerton Avenue crashed into a Nissan sedan near Kildare Avenue, sending the sedan through the front of the Fullerton Animal Clinic. The truck then crashed into a law office next door to the animal clinic.

A frequent customer of the clinic said animals are kept in the back of the building, and any pets there Sunday night should be okay.

No one was injured in the incident, but both businesses sustained major damage.

“All I have to say is a lot of immigration people and stuff, those people are going to be really messed up with their business,” witness Julian Pagan said.

Police said alcohol likely played a role in the crash.

No charges had been filed as of early Monday.
