Report: McDonald's May Move HQ To Oprah's Old Studio Property

CHICAGO (CBS) -- McDonald's is reportedly close to moving its corporate headquarters from the west suburbs to Oprah Winfrey's old studio space on the West Side of Chicago.

Crain's reports the Oak Brook-based fast food giant is negotiating with Chicago developer Sterling Bay to relocate to 300,000 square feet of office space on Randolph Street.

The office development is planned on Oprah Winfrey's former Harpo Studios campus, which Sterling Bay bought for $30.5 million in 2014, Crain's reports.
