Brandon Holman, 34, was charged with two counts of murder, according to Chicago Police.

Holman called for medical assistance for his unresponsive son, Bryson Holman, at their home in the 3200 block of West 83rd Place at noon, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The infant was pronounced dead there at 12:05 p.m.

Police said the boy had bruising to his arms and neck, and appeared to have been deceased for some time.

An autopsy Sunday found Bryson died of multiple injuries from abuse, and ruled his death a homicide.

DCFS spokeswoman Veronica Resa said the agency has not had prior contact with the family, and the boy's three siblings do not live with his father.
