White Sox Place Matt Davidson On 15-Day DL With Broken Foot
(CBS) As expected, the White Sox have placed infielder Matt Davidson on the 15-day disabled list with a broken right foot that he suffered in Thursday's win.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox recalled infielder Carlos Sanchez from Triple-A Charlotte.
The 25-year-old Davidson's injury came in his White Sox debut, when he hurt his foot running the bases on an RBI single in the fourth inning. Davidson had been having a quality season at Charlotte, hitting .268 with 10 homers and 46 RBIs in 75 games.
The 24-year Sanchez was hitting .258 with six homers and 24 RBIs in 55 games at Triple-A this season. He hit .225 for the White Sox in 120 games in 2015.
