Citing France Attack, Trump To Delay Announcement Of VP Choice

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Donald Trump on Thursday delayed his planned announcement of his running mate, citing the attacks in Nice, France.

Trump, sources say, has decided on Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his vice presidential candidate.

Pence arrived in New York on Thursday evening, and Trump was expected to make a formal announcement on Friday in Manhattan.

Those plans were postponed after the attack in France, which killed dozens after a truck slammed into a crowd of Bastille Day revelers.

Pence still faces a noon deadline on Friday to formally withdraw from the governor's race in Indiana.
