Clinton Sign Could Be Connected With Killing Of Texas Couple's Dog

(CBS) -- A Texas couple believes a series of attacks to their home and pet are a result of Hillary Clinton campaign signs in their front yard.

CBS Dallas reports, three separate signs were stolen from the Steadman's yard almost as fast as they put them out.

But that was not the surprising part.

A note was left under the doormat of the couple's home, reading 'Hillary for Prison 2016,' along with the couple's SUV vandalized to the point where an auto shop called it unrepairable.

And if that was not enough, a few days later the Steadman's 2-year-old Shepard mix named Abby got sick. The pup died Monday, as a result of ingesting a neurotoxin, according to the Steadman's veterinarian.

The couple does not expect to ever know if the series of incidents are connected to the signs, but are hopeful someone who knows something will come forward and report it to police.
