Ladies, If You Pack Heat, Be Stylish About It, Designer Says

(CBS) – She wants women to be able to protect themselves. She also wants them to look good doing it.

CBS 2's Audrina Bigos introduces us to an entrepreneur who mixes style and safety.

She designs with firearms in mind.

The focus is on packing and concealing.

"We don't want them to feel like, can someone see my firearm?" Marilyn Smolenski says.

Say goodbye to the bulky men's holster.

This Park Ridge mom is creating something that's slimming and sturdy, for a woman's gun.

She's combining nickel and lace, firearms and fur.

Smolenski hopes women will learn safety tactics and take classes, to become pistol-packing and empowered.
