CHICAGO (CBS) — Chipotle Mexican Grill launched Tuesday chorizo, a spicy sausage as a new meat option an all U.S. locations.

“The reaction to chorizo in the cities that have had it has been overwhelmingly positive, so we’re making it available in all of our restaurants across the country,” said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle in a statement. “Our chorizo is made with Responsibly Raised chicken and pork, and provides a delicious new option that fits perfectly with the rest of our menu.”READ MORE: View Live Radar
Just in time for National Taco Day, Chipotle launched chorizo in a timely manner on Oct. 4. The company wanted to offer its customers a new option for tacos on the fun ‘holiday’ and the rest of the year.

Chorizo is available in burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads.
