Report: Ankle Injury To Keep Bears' Kevin White Out For 'Extended Period'

(CBS) The ankle injury suffered by Bears receiver Kevin White in Sunday's win against the Lions is worse than initially thought.

"White will miss an "extended period of time" with a left ankle injury, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported. The injury was to the same left leg which endured a stress fracture in 2015, forcing him to miss the entire season.

White had six catches for 55 yards Sunday before he left the game, flashing some consistency for the first time in his brief playing time in the NFL.
