Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler Out Against Colts; Eddie Royal Is Active

By Chris Emma--

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (CBS) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will miss his third straight game as he recovers from a thumb sprain suffered in Week 2, while receiver Eddie Royal is active.

It will be Brian Hoyer making his third straight start for the Bears. He threw for 302 yards in a 17-14 win over the Lions last week.

Bears rookie linebacker Leonard Floyd will be inactive for his first NFL game as he battles a calf injury. With receiver Kevin White and cornerback Kyle Fuller both on injured reserve, no first-round pick of the last three drafts is active.

The Bears' inactives also include defensive lineman Eddie Goldman, running back Jeremy Langford, defensive back Deon Bush, offensive lineman Eric Kush and defensive back Deiondre' Hall. Goldman, Langford and Hall each didn't travel with the team to Indianapolis.

Kickoff between the Bears and Colts comes at noon CT from Lucas Oil Stadium.
