Man, 19, Shot On Far South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man said he was shot Friday night in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 19-year-old said he was shot about 10:20 p.m. in the 10900 block of South Wentworth, according to Chicago Police. After being shot, he walked into University of Chicago Medical Center with a graze wound to his leg and his condition was stabilized.

The man was not being cooperative with investigators and gave multiple locations for where the shooting occurred, police said. The department received no calls of shots fired in the area of 109th Street and Wentworth Avenue during the time frame he gave. Additionally, Calumet District officers could not find evidence of a shooting or witnesses in the area.

Area South detectives were investigating.
