Police: Woman Robbed Jimmy John's At Gunpoint In Huntley

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have released a sketch of a woman who robbed a sandwich shop at gunpoint in northwest suburban Huntley on Friday night.

The woman entered the Jimmy John's at 9704 N. Rte. 47 at 8:53 p.m., pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register, according to Huntley police.

An employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the woman left the store, police said. No one was hurt.

Police searched the area with a K-9 unit from the McHenry County sheriff's office, but the woman was not found.

The suspect was described as a white woman in her mid-to-late 20s, about 5-foot-4 with blonde hair, blue eyes and average build, police said. She was wearing pink-rimmed glasses and light blue jeans with sequins on the back pockets.

She might have left the scene in a silver mid-sized SUV, possibly a Nissan Rogue or Morano, and headed east on Rainsford Drive, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect should call Huntley police at (847) 515-5311 or the tip line at (847) 515-5333.
