Bears Guard Eric Kush Tears Hamstring, Will Have Season-Ending Surgery

(CBS) Bears guard Eric Kush has a torn hamstring and will undergo season-ending surgery, coach John Fox said after Monday's practice.

Because All-Pro guard Kyle Long remains out in recovering from offseason ankle surgery and a shoulder injury, the Bears have shifted Cody Whitehair over to guard to get him some practice reps and plugged Hroniss Grasu in at center, where Whitehair performed admirably as a rookie in 2016.

Kush played in eight games for the Bears last year, starting four.
