Man Killed In Norwood Park Fire

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in a Norwood Park apartment building fire early this morning on the Northwest Side.

The victim is now identified as 63-year old Timothy Coughlin, who lived in the building.

The blaze started in a unit on the first floor of a courtyard building in the 6300 block of West Raven Street.

The man died at the scene.

An autopsy Saturday found he died from thermal injuries in an apartment fire involving careless use of smoking materials. His death was ruled an accident.
