Blackhawks’ Corey Crawford Named ‘First Star Of The Week’

(CBS) Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford has been named the NHL’s “First Star of the Week.”

Crawford was 2-1-0 with a 0.68 goals against average and .979 save percentage last week. Included in that was a pair of shutouts to lead the Blackhawks to two wins. Crawford had 35 saves in a 3-0 victory against the Flyers and 24 saves in a 2-0 blanking of the Wild.

Crawford is 7-5-0 with a 1.77 goalies against average and .945 save percentage, the latter two marks both of which lead the league.
