Black Ice Slows Traffic, Causes Crashes In Northwest Indiana
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Icy roads caused major delays and several crashes Tuesday morning in northwest Indiana.
State police said there were more than a dozen minor accidents on Interstate 65 early Tuesday, and several more on Interstate 80/94 due to black ice.
Only one minor injury was reported. The other crashes were only fender benders, police said.
Crews were working to put down salt, and conditions were gradually improving through the morning commute.
