Man Charged With Hate Crime For Racist Graffiti In Homer Glen
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A southwest suburban man has been charged with a hate crime for spray painting racist graffiti on a Muslim family's property.
The victims said they found a derogatory phrase about Muhammad spray painted on their sidewalk in Homer Glen. They also said the tail lights on their car were spray painted with brown paint.
Police charged Patrick Gorshorn with a hate crime and criminal damage to property. Police said he lived nearby.
