CHICAGO (CBS)—Some people on Chicago’s Northwest side are waking up to find their cars sitting on top of cinder blocks.

A rash of at least five tire thefts has hit Portage Park, Dunning and Jefferson Park, according to police.

In all the cases, people were parked on the street overnight.

Back in March, there were ten tire thefts reported in Portage Park.
