CHICAGO (CBS) — A Cook County  sheriff’s officer was killed in a car crash in Woodridge.

It happened Monday afternoon near Joliet Road. Woodridge police said Zachary Perry was off-duty when the crash happened.

Another sheriff’s department officer was in the car. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
