University Of Akron Hires Oak Brook Firm To Help Search For Its Next President

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — A university in Ohio will pay a firm more than $146,000 and expenses to help in the search for its next president.

The University of Akron has selected the Witt/Kieffer search firm based in suburban Chicago to help a search committee look for the school's next president.

UA administrator and faculty member John Green has been serving as interim president since May 1. He succeeded Matthew Wilson who chose to return to the university's law school faculty.

UA announced in a newsletter to the university community on Tuesday that it had hired Witt/Kieffer. The university also said it will meet later this month with leaders of campus groups to get their input on various aspects of the search process.
