Hundreds Brave Lake Michigan's Cold Water For Chicago Polar Plunge

Chicago (CBS) -- Freezing temperatures did not stop hundreds of people from jumping into Lake Michigan for a good cause.

Nearly 400 very cold Chicagoans participated in the Polar Plunge at Oak Street Beach Saturday morning.

The bravest of the brave wore only swimsuits.

The Chicago Polar Bear Club's annual event raises money for local families in need.

The event raised more than $30,000.
