Cold Kills 31 In Cook County This Winter

CHICAGO (CBS)--This winter, 31 people in Cook County have died from cold-related causes.

None of those deaths were reported in the deep freeze that gripped Chicago at the end of January, however.

The Cook County Medical Examiner reported the first death due to cold back in October.

Last winter season, 47 people died of cold exposure.
