Police Help Rescue Ducklings Trapped In Sewers In Griffith, Indiana

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police officers in Griffith, Indiana, helped reunite two mother ducks with their ducklings on Wednesday.

Officer Pete Ghrist and Officer Mike Abel responded to not one but two duckling rescue calls, assisting animal control after the young ducks fell into a sewer.

Ghrist climbed inside one of the sewers to help pull the ducklings out.

The baby ducks are doing well, and were quickly reunited with their mothers.
