Man's Body Found In Sherman Park Lagoon

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two people walking their dog Friday morning discovered a man's body floating in the lagoon at Sherman Park in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Police said, around 7:45 a.m., a man and woman were walking their dog in the park, when they found the body face-down in the lagoon.

Marine Unit divers recovered the body, which appeared to be a Hispanic man between 35 and 40 years old. The victim had no ID.

Area Central detectives were conducting a death investigation.
