Man's Body Pulled From Lake Michigan Near Chicago Avenue

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police on Thursday night pulled a man's body from Lake Michigan not far from the Oak Street Beach.

The police Marine Unit was called early Thursday evening to the lake offshore from Chicago Avenue and Lake Shore Drive, for a report of a body in the water.

Police confirmed that a man's body was pulled from the water, and pronounced dead.

The man's identity was unknown pending an examination by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
