CHICAGO (CBS) — A Chicago police sport-utility vehicle slammed into a tree after chasing a four-wheeler through Garfield Park Wednesday night.

“They couldn’t catch him, so they obviously didn’t see the tree, so that’s pretty much what it was. They didn’t see it, so they hit it. It could have been a child. Both officers in the vehicle were taken to an area hospital. Their conditions were reported as stable.
