Politicians To Jump Into Chicago River

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Dozens of people jumped into the Chicago River Saturday morning, to show just how clean it is.

Congressman Chuy Garcia and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle plan to take the jump.

The event took place at 9 a.m.

It's part of the Chicago River Revival Festival, in Chinatown. The event marks 40 years, since the founding of the non-profit "Friends of The Chicago River."
