Chicago Half Marathon Kicks Off Despite Rain

CHICAGO (CBS)-- The Chicago Half Marathon started without issue despite the rainy conditions.

There were concerns of a delay, but the race started without issue.

The race shutdown Lake Shore Drive from Jackson Park to 31st Street. Street closures began at 6 a.m. Sunday.

More than 12,000 runners are expected and there is also a 5K run.

The race will be capped off with a finish festival in Jackson Park.
