CHICAGO (CBS) — The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office has a new hire, a Labrador retriever named Hatty, dedicated to helping some especially vulnerable crime victims.

Hatty was sworn in as the office’s first “facility comfort dog.”

Foxx gave Hatty her official badge Tuesday morning. Hatty’s job is to help young and mentally disabled victims of sexual assault and violence.

Hatty is two years old, and was trained by inmates at a prison in southwestern Illinois.
