CHICAGO (CBS) — The Chicago Fire Department has located its missing firehouse dog.
The dog, a black labrador retriever named Burny, went missing Friday around 6 p.m. at 59th and State streets.
He was found in the Auburn Gresham area Saturday night after CFD asked the public for help locating the furry Fire Department “brother.”
He belongs to CFD Engine 84, located at 21 W. 59th St.
The Chicago Fire Department along with the crew from Engine 84's firehouse would like to thank everyone for their assistance as Burny was found. He was found in the Auburn Gresham area. CFD would like to send a special thanks to the Auburn Gresham area!

Burny is described as an extra large, adult male dog wearing a red and white Chicago Fire Department collar.
