CHICAGO (CBS)--The 86th annual Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade stepped off through The Loop Thursday morning.
The parade started at State Street and Ida B. Wells Drive and headed north to Randolph Street.
There were 20 marching bands, floats, horses, celebrities, balloons and more.
Municipalities all around the Chicago area and cultures from around the world were represented in the parade.
Among the participants were the Marist High School Marching Band, the Village of Lemont's Lithuanian Folk Dance Group "Suktinis," and the Aedeok Lee Chicago Korean Dance Company. The Black Ensemble Theater presented a selection from "The Other Cinderella," while the A&A Ballet presented the "Art Deco Nutcracker."
Chris Sullivan of the program "This Is Us" and Miguel Cervantes of the Chicago production of "Hamilton" served as grand marshals.
And of course, Santa Claus was present. In front of Macy's, video showed Santa dancing to a club mix from his sleigh among marchers waving balloon creations.
