Man Shoots At Off-Duty Officer In Wrightwood, Officer Not Injured

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A bullet struck an off-duty Chicago police officer's personal car.

The incident took place in the Wrightwood neighborhood near 81st and South Washtenaw.

Police said one man got out of a van late last night and started shooting in the officer's direction.

The officer was not hurt and did not return fire.

The suspected gunman ran from the scene.
