CHICAGO (CBS)– They may be behind bars, but the inmates at the Cook County Jail were not forgotten this Christmas.

Cardinal Blase Cupich led a Christmas morning mass with some male inmates.

He told the crowd that he felt blessed to be able to deliver his message at the jail.

The women at the jail were treated to music and a spirited Christmas service from the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

It’s become a tradition for the reverend. He also urged people to register and get out and vote.
