Boy Scouts Of America Files For Bankruptcy Protection

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Sexual abuse lawsuits are forcing the Boy Scouts of America to file for bankruptcy protection.

The youth organization said they're trying to work out what could add up to be a billion dollar compensation plan for victims.

Money would be split among thousands of former scouts who they say they were molested by scout leaders.

The Boy Scouts of America could end up selling off huge amounts of property and assets to pay for the compensation.
