CHICAGO (CBS)– Several people were displaced and two people were injured after a fire broke out at an apartment in the Lake Meadows neighborhood.

Emergency crews responded to the 12-story apartment at 35th and Rhodes overnight.

At least two people were injured.

“I look out the window and I see flames coming out of the building,” a witness told CBS 2.

There was damage to three apartments and officials said the fire was on the sixth floor. The cause of the first is unknown at this time.
