5-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots Himself With Father's Gun
CHICAGO (CBS)-- A 5-year-old boy accidentally shot himself with his father's gun overnight.
The gun went off around midnight at a home in Woodlawn. Police said the child found the gun in his father's pants pocket.
Officers arrested the father who police said drove away with the gun after the incident and tried to get rid of it a few blocks away.
The boy is in good condition at Comer Children's Hospital.
Charges have not been released.
