CHICAGO (CBS) — Two men were charged with criminal trespass after they were found in the backyard of a Chicago Police officer with a gasoline can.
The men said they had only run out of gas.It happened Monday night in Beverly. CBS 2’s Jermont Terry reported Tuesday night on who and what was found.
Despite early concerns from sources, there was no evidence that the officer was targeted harm.
Officers from the Morgan Park (22nd) District responded to the captain’s house in Beverly.
Police sources told CBS 2 around 11:30 p.m. Monday, two men entered the police officer’s backyard. Sources said the men had a gasoline can and a lighter on them when they were arrested.
The men did not ignite a fire or injure anyone.
