Chicago Police Officer Hit By Car During Stop In River North

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago police officer is recovering after being hit by someone driving off from a traffic stop at Chicago and Wells right by the Moody Bible Institute.

Police were talking to the driver they had stopped outside of the car.

A woman in the passenger seat jumped behind the wheel, took off and hit one of the officers.

The officer is at Rush University Medical Center in good condition. Police have not yet found the woman who drove off.
