Man Shot In Face And Hand In Englewood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon in Englewood, police said.

The shooting happened at 1:20 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Racine Avenue.

The 39-year-old man was shot in the face and hand and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

As of 4:11 p.m., no one was in custody. Area One detectives were investigating.
