Chicago Weather: Cooler Temperatures Ahead

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A cool down is in effect.

Temperatures are dropping slightly below average with a high in the low 80s. Areas near the lakefront could be cooler. While Thursday will be mostly dry, showers are possible.

Friday will be a dry day with comfortable temperatures in the low 80s.

Throughout the weekend, temperatures will stay in the low 80s. Showers and storms return to the forecast by Sunday.
