Indiana Residents Have 1 Week Left To Avoid Evictions, Utility Shutdowns

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Due to the pandemic, Indiana residents struggling to pay their rent have one more week to avoid evictions and utility shutdowns.

Governor Eric Holcomb will allow the state's moratorium to expire, a week from Friday.

A recent survey found 44% of Indiana's renters don't have the money to pay their rent. The governor urged people to contact their landlords and utility companies to work out payment plans.
