Car Chase Near Midway Leaves One Person Dead, Another In Critical Condition
CHICAGO (CBS) -- What ended as a deadly crash at Midway Airport began with an officer chasing a driver who had run a red light.
The incident happened near 59th and Cicero late Sunday night. The officer from an outside law enforcement agency tried to catch up to the car, but the driver crashed and was killed.
A 33-year-old passenger in the car is in critical condition. Chicago police were not involved in the chase, but CPD is investigating the crash.
