200 More Officers To Be Added To City's Community Safety Team
CHICAGO (CBS)-- On Monday, 200 more officers will be added to Chicago's Community Safety Team.
Chicago Police Supt. David Brown says the city's overall reduction in violent crime, means these officers can be deployed in neighborhoods where they're needed more.
CPD's Community Safety Team works with neighborhood groups, faith leaders and community organizers to try and address the root causes of violence and conflict.
