Woman Shot, Wounded In Washington Park Neighborhood

CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was shot and wounded Wednesday evening in the Washington Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 300 block of East 51st Street just west of the park of Washington Park, police said.

The woman, 35, heard shots and felt pain, police said.

She was struck in the foot and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

As of 8:15 p.m., no one was in custody and Area One detectives were investigating.
